Mon Day #19 Cultivating Community

"Community requires commitment, hakes honesty, humility, courtesy, confidentiality and frequency.

Nine characteristics of Biblical fellowship:
-We will share our feelings (authenticity).
-Encourage each other (mutuality).
-Support each other (sympathy).
-Forgive each other (mercy).
-Speak the truth in love (honesty).
-Admit our weaknesses (humility).
-Respect our differences (courtesy).
-Not gossip (confidentiality).
-Make group a priority (frequency)." PDL Chapter 19

I think it would be nice to have this as a group covenant, but even with that, it starts with me. If I follow these nine characteristics, I will be doing my part and by example be encouraging others to follow.
